Maple Leaf Quilt Block |
Welcome to Walking Wednesdays and my walks taken during the past two weeks around my neighborhood. The autumn color made my walks a delight!
The wild rose hips with their yellow foliage.
Gambel oaks with their brown fall leaves.
These leaves stay on the trees well into winter.
Gambel oaks are also known as Scrub oaks around here.
They are a variety of small, shrubby oaks.
These Gambel oak leaves are in the process of turning.
Don't they look interesting?
The color of these Gambel oak leaves are unusual.
Look at the leaf that is mostly red with definite bits of yellow!
This Rocky Mountain Maple leaf got caught in the branches of a Douglas fir!
And the lovely golden leaves of the Quaking Aspen -
always a favorite!
Thank you for coming on these fall walks with me around my neighborhood!

Beautiful autumn color; I enjoyed the walk! Just found your blog today. Am following with Bloglovin
ReplyDeleteSpring is my favorite because of all the new birth/growth which is like an awakening after a deep sleep.
ReplyDeleteI really do like all of them. Each has it's own reason. Spring for the new crisp colors. Summer for the warmer temperatures for outdoor fun. Autumn for all the changing colors and smells. Winter for the sparkling blues, whites and greys. Also for snow.
ReplyDeleteI like SPRING best. It has all the new growth, smells, colours & beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally some good sunshine too
I like them all but fall is one of my favorites. I just love the leaves changing colors and how the trees look.
ReplyDeleteI like spring best but also love fall. Everything is so fresh in Spring but the fall gives relief from the summer heat and the beautiful fall colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photos. Beautiful leaves that you have captured.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite season is the summer since I enjoy the warmer temperatures.
Fall, to see all the most amazing shades. Looks like an outdoor quilt everywhere. Thanks for the photos and keeping us up on reading and quilting. Blessings and smiles, Emiou :-)
ReplyDeleteDo you still do the online group each month that did the pumpkin block.
ReplyDeleteI love fall for the cooler temperatures and the fall colors. I love Tokyo winters for the blue sunny skies without the heat. I love spring for all the blossoms claiming their time and place. and i love summer for a chance to unwind and re-group ... and possibly visit family overseas. How could I possibly pick a favorite any more than I could pick a favorite child.
