Friendship Quilt Block and a Song for Sunday

Be Still, My Soul

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Katharina von Schlegel (1697-1768) in 1752

Listen to Page CXVI sing Be Still, My Soul:

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

  1. Photos are stunning. A favorite scripture.

  3. What beautiful photos.
    The Main Street of my country town looks like these beautiful autumn colours in May, June, July.
    They are gorgeous colours

  4. Oops..... I mean
    June, July, August.

    Silly me. Sometimes the trees don't work in sync with the seasons

  5. Sung to "Finlandia" --love that hymn tune and all the hymns that go with it.

    The foliage in northeasternmost Illinois has been glorious this year. (No mountains. But we have a lake!)

  6. Stunning pictures, painted by a Master!! Thank you for sharing your pictures :)
