Four Winds Quilt Block and February Weather

Four Winds Quilt Block Pattern Information

Windy Nights

Whenever the moon and stars are set,
Whenever the wind is high,
All night long in the dark and wet,
   A man goes riding by.
Late in the night when the fires are out,
Why does he gallop and gallop about?

Whenever the trees are crying aloud,
   And ships are tossed at sea,
By, on the highway, low and loud,
   By at the gallop goes he;
By at the gallop he goes, and then
By he comes back at the gallop again.

  1. It's been snowy, but a little warmer here in MN. We're no longer waking up to below zero temps. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow again.

  2. Snow, snow, cold, cold, now the possibility of flooding tomorrow. Wish we could send some of this 'water' to those in drought.

  3. Cold, snow, wind. But the promise of warmer weather is on its way. We actually had some thawing yesterday and possible rain today. Of course, flood warnings abound now!

  4. We have had snow to break former records and my #3 daughter called to ask about the former record snow that occurred the week she was born 40 some years ago.. I had to admit that coming from Ohio, it hadn't impressed me so much that I would remember it
