Eight Hands Round Quilt Block and Quilt Confession Bingo

Eight Hands Around Quilt Block Pattern Information

My guild celebrated it's third birthday on Saturday with a party.  One of the games we played was Quilt Confession Bingo.  We had to find a different person to sign each box of our Bingo card.  Whoever got all 24 boxes signed first was the winner.  I thought you might enjoy reading what was in each Bingo box in case you'd like to play this in your guild:
My spouse buys fabric for me.
I made my own nametag.
My quilt has been in a show!
My seam ripper is my most used tool.
Thimbles, who needs them!  I've bled on a quilt.
I own more than 2 sewing machines.
I (heart) yellow (the most commonly disliked color).
I'm a member of another guild!
In the last year, I made a quilt for me.
I met Anna Marie Horner, Latifah Saafir AND Jacquie Gering.
I thoroughly enjoy stippling.
I have a HUGE stash!

  1. That looks like fun! I'm currently a member of 2 guilds - used to be 3,but the location of one of the daytime guilds moved and I haven't been able to get there since. The first guild is the one I've belonged to longer; it meets at night and is large - about 200 members, and more than 100 typically attend each meeting. The other guild is tiny - maybe 20 members - and meets during the day, so even though I'm careful to put it on my calendar, work stuff still occasionally prevents me from going.

  2. We did a game similar to this for the Cub Scouts ... getting-to-know-you BINGO. All the signatures had to be different people.
I now belong to two "circles" but I don't think there is such a thing as a "Guild" in Japan.

  3. I belong to a guild with about 130 members meet day and night and belong to a sewing group and have a sewing group at my house 3rd Weds of the month. love them all. the game sounds fun. thanks,

  4. I do belong to a quilt group--but we refuse to call it a guild; that seems way to formal and serious!

  5. I'm president of the Northern Lake County Quilters Guild ( which has about 75 members. I joined the guild in 1999.
This evening (February 18) I'm going to visit the Village Quilters (Lake Bluff, IL) who are hosting Gwen Marston.

  6. I am a member of Lighthouse Quilters Guild and love it! We have a great group of quilters.

  7. I JUST joined this group and am looking forward to reading, chatting and making blocks! I've belonged to our local "Night Guild" for years. As I've recently retired, I've joined the "Day Guild" also! Both guilds are as night and day! LOL...but BOTH have their merits!

Can't wait to read this month's book!

  8. I belong to a quilt guild, we meet twice a month to sew and chat. The first meeting in the month we work on quilts and pillow cases for neighbors who are ill or hurting. The next meeting we work on our own projects.

  9. I belong to a quilt guild. They have a day meeting third week of the month and night meeting first week of the month.

  10. I am a member of a quilting club in my town. They meet once a month, with smaller groups that meet more often.

  11. I'm in 2 guilds. I've been in one since the beginning. We celebrated our 10th in Sept. I've been in the larger guild since 2010. Guilds give you an opportunity to learn and stretch (if you want to), and lots of inspiration.

  12. I belong to Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild and American Sewing Guild. In ASG I lead one meeting monthly and attend at least one other during the month. I always learn something at each meeting.

  13. I belong to 2 guilds - my local quilt guild and a longarm guild.
