And, of course, April in Colorado is ... snow!
It's already snowed 3" today, and we are expecting 4 - 6" more tonight.

ReplyDeleteSigns of spring in the desert of east-central New Mexico: some trees are trying to bloom; I found a tiny tulip in the yard (just one) but after hours of wind gusting up to 45 mph, it's probably been shredded. Yes, spring must be on it's way.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful quilt block. I'm in the tropics and April means wonderful cooler days. Coming from Norway, April means the same as at your place; nice sunny spring weather, or snow. HAPPY EASTER!

ReplyDeleteHanami or flower-viewing! This is the month. My English class had an interesting discussion. Where did you go? What did you see? What is your favorite place for hanami? I told them about my first hanami nearly 50 years ago and how shocked I was at the mountains of garbage people left behind under the trees.

Spring ? 80 degrees on Sat and 35 on Sunday. Midwest just wait and the weather will change every hour almost. thank you
ReplyDeleteHere on Vancouver Island BC it is now spring, the trees are greening, and the flowering trees are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLawn is greening, the buds on the lilac bush are just getting fatter and Saturday the temp reached nearly 80°F. Today, it is snowing here in the suburbs of Chicago. Yes, I think spring has arrived!
ReplyDeleteSpring here on the farm in eastern Washington...ice on the horse trough and dog bowl in the morning, crazy winds, one day in the low 70s and the next in the 40s, gorgeous blue skies and sage bugs all over the house! Oh, yeah, tractors pulling weeders and harrows through the fields stirring up a bunch of dust for the wind to bring to my house so I can dust every day!!
ReplyDeleteThe Willamette Valley in Oregon is awash in Spring. My daffodils are past already, The tulips are in full color and the lilacs are leafing. I feel almost selfish enjoying the weather so much when so much of the country is still wading through the end of Winter! Beth @ Words & Stitches, pbstrand@msn.com
ReplyDeleteWe got 1.3 inches on Monday night. Flurries all day today. I miss the 70 degrees from Saturday. We did have some green showing in the garden. Hope we still do, after the freezes this week.
ReplyDeleteThe hundreds of daffodils on campus that survived the snow on Tuesday! The peepers at night always sing a song of spring!

Today we saw redbud starting to bloom. Hostas are coming up and the peonies are up. All signs of spring.
