Endless Stairs Quilt Block, Daffodils, and Snow

Endless Stairs Quilt Block Pattern Information

Spring Is

Spring is when
       the morning sputters like
bacon
           and
          your
                  sneakers
                run
                  down
                            the
                               stairs
so fast you can hardly keep up with them,
and
spring is when
         your scrambled eggs
               jump
                  off
               the
                         plate
and turn into a million daffodils
trembling in the sunshine.

  1. So far my April has been....both. This week it should be rain and if I'm lucky one day near 60.

  2. My daffodils are still under the snow, but it's melting quickly! I think spring is on it's way.

  3. Here in Australia we are slowly sneaking into Autumn and the beautiful changes to the foliage but oh I just love looking at your amazing snow pictures. It would be so nice to experience a week or that kind of snow !

  4. Finally, today we have sun! I could spend a few happy hours out trimming the garden and pulling a few weeds in my neighbor's bed and trimming back the dead branches on her hydrangea. It is so nice to get out after so many rainy and blustery days. It would be perfect for cherry blossom viewing if only we had one in the neighborhood.

  6. April has been Windy! Some rain and just this morning the daffy's have voted to spring up through the frozen ground. Loved your posted poem to start the blog entry. Made me smile

Marie Bostwick writes some nice stories. It would be lovely to win the new one coming out.

  8. Very cute poem! Our April has been both all of the above...We have had snow and now rain and will be in the sixties a few days before going back down to the forties next week... My daffodils have come up with visible buds......crocuses are blooming...Most of the piles of dirty snow are now gone...I did not think they would ever go away.

  9. No daffodils here. I used to have tulip bulbs, but, I don't think they survived our frigid winter. Today we have SUN! Woohoo! and warmer temps. I hope no more snow heads our way. I'd rather the rains and warmth.

  10. We finally have the warmth for the flowers to pop out! But I noticed that the deer got to my daffodils .this winter. I will have to plant more this winter. I think I will have to plant a few other bulbs to keep them away.

  11. Winter certainly doesn't want to release her grip on parts of the country, that's for sure! Spring really is tiptoeing on cat's paws to my part of the country as well...no snow, but quite cool!
