Cotton Boll Quilt Block, Kleenex, and Tea Time Comfort

Cotton Boll Quilt Block Pattern Information

Tea is a great comfort when I'm not feeling well.  Join me today for tea time, although you will have to put up with some coughing and sneezing!  One of my daughters-in-law clued me in to this wonderful Yogi Throat Comfort Tea.  It really feels soothing on my throat right now.

The Sniffle

In spite of her sniffle,
Isabel’s chiffle.
Some girls with a sniffle
Would be weepy and tiffle;
They would look awful,
Like a rained-on waffle,
But Isabel’s chiffle
In spite of her sniffle.
Her nose is more red
With a cold in her head,
But then, to be sure,
Her eyes are bluer.
Some girls with a snuffle,
Their tempers are uffle,
But when Isabel’s snivelly
She’s snivelly civilly,
And when she is snuffly
She’s perfectly luffly.

  1. Hi, I get your newsletter but just read about your book club. I would like to join with you. I downloaded the book a few minutes ago. I read her first one and loved it. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs, Sandi

  2. Sorry about your sniffles. The tea sounds lovely. Aren't we all grateful they invented Kleenex? lol
    Get better soon.

  3. Tea and a good book are the best remedies for the sniffles. Get well soon.

  4. Hope you get well quickly. Keep some Zymox on hand for when when you feel the first hint of a cold. It really does lessen symptoms and length. How does the tea taste (if you can taste it at all)?

  5. I love Yogi Tea! They have a great blueberry tea! I have had the sniffles also this week. I think I will add some tea before I go to bed and when I get up in the morning. I'm pushing to get a quilt ready for a show next Friday.

  6. Sometimes we can find that tea here in Tokyo and I think it is a good choice (but not too close to bedtime) Herbal tea is the only kind I can drink without becoming jittery.

  7. Hope you feel better soon. I don't drink tea. If I really need something soothing I usually go with ginger ale or hot apple cider.

  8. Hope you are feeling better today. This time of year in Texas I should own stock in Kleenex. It sounds like you have the best way to deal with feeling ill. I'm going to look for the tea you suggested.

  9. I could use some of that tea too. My sinuses are blocked and I had to breathe through my mouth last night and now I have a sore throat. I'll have to look around for it. Hope you feel better soon.

  10. I'm not much of a tea drinker, but hot chocolate (or better yet, a hot mocha), always brings me comfort. Though if I have a sore throat, hot soup is my preference. I hope you feel better soon.

  11. I will have to try the tea next time I'm not feeling well. I enjoy watching Downton Abbey episodes when I'm under the weather.

  12. When I'm feeling congested or a sore throat I normally go for some peppermint tea or rose hip tea, a thick quilt and a heating pad.
