I take time for tea everyday, especially afternoon tea (around 4 pm) . I recently discovered Irish breakfast tea which is now my favorite.

Your quilt is very, very beautiful! I love the colors, the pattern and the way you mixed the fabrics. I wouldn't want a drop of tea on it! Is the pattern one of your creations?

what a pretty spring like quilt! yes, i drink tea every day. i never was a coffee drinker, so tea is my drink of choice.

ReplyDeleteI have tea every day,and especially try to have a blend of green tea. Am going on doctors who recommend guzzling as much as you can take in. Love those antioxidants!!
ReplyDeleteHere in this house it is tea time anytime. We make it in a pot for breakfast and in the afternoon as well, other times its just a tea-bag. I have a collection of character teapots which are fun, and a silver tea service which sits on the sideboard. I often have a tea party and use one of the fancy pots with my lovely antique china and little silver spoons.
ReplyDeleteI am sitting inside looking at a very snowy outside this afternoon. I don't normally drink tea alone. I need guests to enjoy a "cuppa." I love your tea set with the bees. My niece reminded me the other day that we need to have another tea party soon!

ReplyDeleteIn the winter months, I drink a pot of tea every day (12 cup coffee pot size). Hot tea is my 'go to' drink in the winter months.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do take tea every(almost) afternoon. It started when I was a teenager living in England with my family and just carried on from there. I love the whole ritual, the teapots, china, lovely linens, and scones. At the quiltshop where I worked for 15 years, I started a tradition of teatime every afternoon at 4:00. Of course, it was a very simple one, but every one joined in when they could. kellam.susan@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI can drink coffee all day long with no problem but one cup of tea and I can walk up the wall, across the ceiling, and down the other wall. If I drink tea, and I do, it will be herbal ... maybe "sleepytime tea" before going up to my freezing bedroom.

ReplyDeleteI drink hot tea in the morning (and all day if it's cold) and switch to iced tea at lunch time. I really loved afternoon tea when I visited friends in Australia and England - oh the lovely baked goodies they made to go with it! Too much quilting to do to stop for afternoon tea now - have a quilt show in 2 months and everyone wants a quilt quilted!!

ReplyDeleteI'm a coffee kinda girl, and have been known to have a cup or two of irish coffee from time to time, but what girl doesn't love a tea set. I've one vintage teapot, it's in my studio, used for holding pens and rulers. I see so many cute patterns for tea cozies that I'm considering taking up tea drinking just so I have a need to make one of these cute cozies. After seeing whats outside your window I'd say a nice cup of something hot is needed! Lovely quilt and tea display!
