 Tea for One - given to me by a dear friend

 

This is Downton Abbey English Rose Tea from the Republic of Tea.  It's a beautiful color and tastes delicious!  Are you a Downton Abbey fan?  I really enjoy the show and try never to miss it on Sunday nights.  The Republic of Tea describes their tea as a "vibrant, ruby-red infusion of rose, raspberry and hibiscus has fruity, floral notes and a touch of sweetness. Inspired by traditional British desserts, this caffeine-free luscious tea is perfect for an afternoon treat."

 

Perfect with a brownie!

Cake-Like Brownies
4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
¾ cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup milk
1-1/2 cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

1.  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with Pam.

2.  Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted.  Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
3.  Stir in sugar.  Add eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix well.
4.  Add flour, salt, and nuts; stir until well blended.
5.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Makes 24 brownies.
