Moon Over the Mountain Quilt Block and a Song for Sunday

I Sing the Mighty Power of God

I sing the mighty power of God,
That made the mountains rise;
That spread the flowing seas abroad,
And built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained
The sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at His command
And all the stars obey.

  1. Is that Mt Herman at sunrise? I get a much different view of "him" from this side of the interstate. Made two round trips down Black Forest Rd today. Too depressing for words, but everyone living where I am should make the drive so they can see what "fire mitigation" means.

  4. All great photos - the one with the daisys would make a great landscape quilt. Great block. Do you know why it has a star in the mountain? JC

    1. There is actually a huge star formed with light bulbs on posts on Sundance Mountain that is lit for the month of December and other special events. One Fourth of July it was lit with sections of red, white, and blue bulbs. It is a landmark of the community.
