I like to read in the bathtub (it's quiet there) or on the living room couch. Those are my favorite places, but, bed is a close 3rd.

ReplyDeleteI am now reading the August book Between Heaven and Texas. I had read The Soloist by Steve Lopez about mental illness before this and it was informative and helpful in understanding this disease, But I very much needed a fun and entertaining and uplifting book. This book is definitely cheering me up!
ReplyDeleteIt all depends on the mood I am in or what. Sometimes it's in the hammock in my backyard where I lay a quilt down first and climb aboard with my little dog and a book and read for hours. Sometimes it's in bed which is most nights I read myself to sleep. And when I am working and waiting and waiting, I must have a book to read. So, I think maybe to sum it up, reading anywhere is just great to me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI will read anywhere, anytime! I do read in bed every night, often falling asleep with the light on. I've never heard of this author, so I'll be checking her out!
ReplyDeleteI usually read on the train or bus or while waiting for people and events to happen. (I am usually early and get frustrated when everyone else is late, so the reading becomes therapy) On the train, I sometimes get so involved in the story, I miss my stop. When I am at home, there is always work to do and many interruptions. I have been known though, to take the book I am reading up to my bed.
ReplyDeleteMost of my 'reading' is listening to audio books while I sew or drive. Although I thought I had read this book, so far nothing seems familiar. I most read on treadmill or sitting on couch.
ReplyDeleteCurrently I am reading Debbie Macomber's The Inn at Rose Harbor. I usually read in my chocolate brown wing chair in the family room. I place a throw pillow on my lap and prop the book on top of that so there is less strain on my neck while reading.
ReplyDeleteThe only time during the day I have a chance to read is at the end of the day in bed. Great way to wind down after a busy day & escape!
ReplyDeleteI usually read in bed at night before sleep. I also walk my dog everyday for an hour or so & on our walks I listen to an audio book.
ReplyDeleteDee in NE writes: "My favorite place to read is in my recliner with the foot end up where my dog Sherlock (he's a mystery) relaxes while I read. I can't even tell you the last TV show I watched, but I've read 3 books in the last 10 days."
ReplyDeleteI love reading in the bath as I know I will have title peace. I just have to be careful that I don't read when I'm tired and drop the book or my kindle in the water.

ReplyDeleteI like to read in bed best. Sometimes I will read on the couch or sitting in a chair but mostly lying down in bed. I have ordered Between Heaven and Texas from the library but it will have to be purchased or else come from outside, so I'm not holding my breath that I will get it in time.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to read is in a beach chair, under a beach umbrella, with the ocean waves lapping at the shore. However, tucked in during a summer rain or a winter storm, or on a quiet evening, the living room recliner is a close second.
