  1. Wow, I finished this book in less than a day. Generally, I don't enjoy books that spin off from an original series as much as I like the original series, but I couldn't put this down.
I'm looking forward to meeting Howard as he ages.

For what it's worth I'd also really enjoyed Marie's earlier books, River's Edge, On the Wings of the Morning and Fields of Gold.

  2. This was a quick read for me, too. Funny but when I read the Cobbled Court Series I kept wondering what Mary Dell's story was. She was obviously a strong character, influencing the story line and providing some humor but nothing too personal was divulged. Now, after reading this book I can see where she developed her strength. Hopefully this will be the start of a new series!!
Has anyone made a block to go with the story yet?

  3. I loved the story of Mary Dell! Although I've finished all the books in the book club on schedule, I haven't had the time in my sewing room to make the corresponding blocks for the quilt. Hopefully, the Fall will slow down and bring some opportunities to for me to catch up in that regard.
