Or maybe, ‘serendipitous’. I’m glad he had his camera! Whoever did it, is good at snow angels. Mine always looked more like a small buffalo wallow. :-D

Here’s a story I’m sure I’ve told before (and will likely tell again):

Once upon a time, my Lydia, age 2 (she’s 21 now), was watching out the front window as all the older children played in the snow on the front lawn. They were falling over backwards, flapping arms and legs, and then getting to their feet.

"What are they doing?!!" she asked, somewhat amazed, and I explained, "They're making snow angels! Look at the print they leave behind in the snow... what's it look like?"

She looked long and hard, then watched as Dorcas fell over backwards, flailed vigorously, and carefully stood up again, trying not to mess up her design.

With that, Lydia jumped off the couch where she was standing, ran to the middle of the living room, and, before I could prevent it, fell flat on her back with a resounding ker-THUMP, arms and legs waving wildly. She then staggered to her feet, looking decidedly woozy. She blinked, then looked at me with wide blue-gray eyes.

"Now I'm an angel," she announced solemnly (and dizzily).

I tried valiantly to keep a straight face while I stroked her poor ker-THUMPED head and explained things, hopefully better than I had the first time.Sarah Lynn (Swiney) Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15323977158496817490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6511052179322289323.post-53427640599262991502013-01-10T18:11:37.195-07:002013-01-10T18:11:37.195-07:00Great quilt block but your pictures of the forest ...Great quilt block but your pictures of the forest in the snow really grabbed me!
